There will be many organizations that will host free HIV screenings and some other tests this week in Atlanta on Wednesday, June 27. The events will promote National HIV Testing Day.
The first HIV Testing Day was held in 1995 and is organized to help increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS and to increase test rates across the nation. In its 19th year the event is still going strong and they have big plans this year. This was the first awareness day of its kind.
